The War for Olympus Begins in the Latest Trailer for ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’

Mortals and half-bloods, you’ve been summoned. The gods of Olympus will see you now in the latest trailer for “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” premiering later this December on Disney+.

In the newest teaser, Disney+ graced fans of the beloved series a closer look into what they can expect in the reboot of the 2010 franchise. The series follows Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell), a 12-year-old demigod who is just slowly coming to terms of his newfound divine powers. And yes, he’s also the son of the Greek god of the sea, Poseidon. When he’s accused of stealing Zeus’s lightning bolt, Percy ventures on a quest to retrieve and recover the god of thunder’s weapon to clear his name. Joining Percy on his quest are his friends Annabeth Chase (Leah Jeffries), who is the also a demigod and the daughter of Athena, and his satyr best friend and protector, Grover Underwood (Aryan Simhadri).

Joining our heroes on their quest include actors Adam Copeland, Suzanne Cryer, Jessica Parker Kennedy, the late Lance Reddick and Lin-Manuel Miranda, who plays a key supporting role. “Percy Jackson” author Rick Riordan co-wrote the pilot of the show and will serve as an executive producer for the series.

Return to Camp Half-Blood later this year when “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” debuts on Disney+, with the first two episodes being released on Dec. 20, followed by new episodes weekly. Watch the latest teaser trailer below!
