Hours into Donald Trump’s presidency, the White House’s LGBT and climate change pages are gone.
What was formerly a page on whitehouse.gov/lgbt titled “President Obama and the LGBT Community” now redirects to /transitionsplash, with a photo of the newly inaugurated President Donald Trump and his vice president, Mike Pence, and an invitation to sign up for updates and “Make America Great Again.”
The LGBT page, introduced under the Obama administration, had detailed the achievements of the LGBT community, from policies and legislative victories to campaigns like “It Gets Better,” supporting LGBT health and bullying prevention.
Also nowhere to be seen is the White House’s page on climate change — as well as its pages on civil rights and health care.
