This YouTube Parody K-pop Boy Band Is Crushing It On iTunes

BTS, Got7 and Monsta X — also known as some of K-pop’s biggest names — got pushed off the top of the iTunes charts this week by a parody YouTube boy band, BgA.

Comprising popular online personalities Ryan Higa, Philip Wang, Justin Chon, Jun Sung Ahn and David Choi, the band’s new single, “Who’s It Gonna Be,” was released Friday and has already racked up more than six million views.

“The result of five guys who can’t sing, dance or really speak Korean and try to start a K-pop band,” BgA — which stands for Boys Generally Asian — wrote for its debut “Dong Saya Dae” last year. (That, of course, translates to “I Have To Poop.”)
