At last, BuzzFeed fans got to see the elusive mother of the not-so-elusive Eugene Lee Yang.
Yang, whose hilarious mom is a frequent subject of his tweets, announced her “highly anticipated debut” in BuzzFeed’s video, “Asian Moms and Their Kids Imitate Each Other.”

In the adorable video, Yang, Ashly Perez and Kane Diep pair up with their respective mothers in front of the camera and proceed to imitate each other. While the kids mimicked their mothers talking about themselves, the mothers got to impersonate their children complaining and being “American.”
“My mom can turn any situation or conversation into a compliment about herself,” Yang said before affectionately adopting a Korean accent to pose as his mother, Min-young.
Diep mimicked his mom’s Vietnamese accent when he drives: “Why you drive so fast? Drive slower!”
But before the kids could get the last laugh, the moms had their chance to make fun of them, proving that mothers do indeed know best.
Perez’s mother, Cookie, imitated how her Cuban-Filipino-Korean American daughter speaks to waiters in restaurants. To this, Perez quipped that her mother was talking about her “white people voice.”
