Prepare to be punched in the face with cuteness.
Sophie Wong, a 3-year-old taekwondo white belt student, recently recited the student creed, and the Leeds Taekwondo & Premier Martial Arts Centre in West Yorkshire, England recorded the entire adorable act on tape. The video clip has gone viral, garnering more than 5 million views on YouTube.
According to the school, Sophie is their youngest student and the clip has been viewed more than 15 million times since they first uploaded it on their official Facebook page. She’s enrolled in the school’s “Tiny Champions” class for toddlers ages 3-4 and has only been practicing taekwondo for a little over a month.
Wendy Wong, 41, Sophie’s mother, told the Yorkshire Evening Post that her daughter was inspired by her older brother Harry, 6, to take up the martial art.
“She loves to learn and copies her brother, and I just wanted her to come and learn about discipline, attention and the concentration that she might need in school,” said Ms. Wong.
Meanwhile, Ricky Lam, the master instructor and owner of Leeds Taekwondo, claims that the membership of the Tiny Champions class has quadrupled
Back in Armley the adorable tot’s exploits have created a huge spike in interest in martial arts. Ricky Lam, master instructor and owner of Premier Martial Arts Leeds, claims the membership of the Tiny Champions group has quadrupled in just two weeks.
“We’re always trying to get the best out of our young people, but for a three-year-old I’ve never seen this type of focus and dedication. Her attitude is fantastic,” Lam said.
